Using an old scissors, cut apart a pop can and press it flat. You are ready to construct a dimensional image which can be glued to your stamped art project.

There are two ways to stamp and color on aluminum.

1. Stamp, color and decorate the image on sticker paper.
   Adhere to the printed side of the aluminum.

2. Stamp the image directly onto the aluminum with black Memories ink.
   Heat set. Color with pigment pens. Heat set again.
   Embossing powder or liquid applique can be used on the metal
   pieces to add shine or sparkle. Metal can be rubbed with
   black Memories ink or Marvy metallic markers to add a weathered look.

Cut out the image. Bend, twist or curl as desired, using your fingers, a stylus, spoon, Q-tip, rounded stick, etc. to shape the aluminum in a realistic way. You can either do an entire image, such as a butterfly or cactus, or you can do individual portions of an image, such as rose petals. Substitute aluminum for the toled image portions of the paper tole technique, and glue them in place over a stamped image on your card. Aluminum gives durability and flexibility to your tole designs. Adhere to your art project with a hot glue gun or silicon gel.

Decorative curls may be made from thin strips of plain aluminum which is curled around a toothpick, pencil or stylus.
