Liquid applique is a great way to add a three-dimensional puffy look to your stamped art. Originally made for use on pre-washed fabric, it works very well on paper also. Liquid Applique puffs up on the paper after drying and heating. The fine tip on the tube makes it easy to apply even in the smallest areas. It can also be used to write a word, name or phrase.

HOW TO USE LIQUID APPLIQUE:

• Sparingly apply liquid applique to desired area by gently squeezing the tube and writing or filling in the area.

• For best results, set your project aside overnight to dry before applying heat.
  This step may be omitted if you want "instant gratification."

• Heat with a embossing heat tool. You will be able to see the surface puff up as it heats. If you overheat it, it will scorch, become uneven or lift from the paper.

• Use liquid applique to add dimension and realism to your artwork, such as icing for a cake, puffy fur on bears, bunnies and other animals, snow covered pines, realistic sunflower centers and cattails, or black "hairy" spiders and bugs.

• Extra fine glitter can be added to liquid applique before or after heating to add sparkle.

• Add color to puffed up white liquid applique by dampening it slightly with water and a brush Dab off excess water with a paper towel, and paint on diluted pigment ink or marker ink. Or rub dry finished applique with metallic rubons or chalk for soft shading.

• Create a background of leather-like consistency which can be stamped. Apply liquid applique in one or more colors to the card and roll it out into a thin layer with a rubber brayer. Cover the whole surface of the card. Heat evenly. Use for layers, punched shapes, or an entire card background.
